The Sixth Sense is the Sixth Element In the Human
trying to figure out The Five Senses.
The Subject I am taking up is to be understood and taught in and by Silence.Sufism provides indications of the topic in a very subtle, blunt and easy manner but you have to be an attentive student to your quest within to find answers !
So let me begin with the Quote of my favorite Sufi Poet -Rumi ,

One of the last Spiritual Milestones of all the process of meditation
after the spiritual cleansing through winning over the senses,
opening of chakras , awakening of Kundalini ,
being blessed with the spiritual powers is ---
The Opening of The Third Eye and
Listening to the Unstoppable Streams of Divine Melodies .
Both happen simultaneously with His Divine Grace.
Deciphering Rumi has been such a wonderful discovery for me on Facebook
and that was the sole reason for me to open Facebook like a ritual.
Rumi was a blessed Sufi Saint who could put
all the Divine Experiences in simple words.
And to understand his words , one has to enter His World
to really fathom what he intended to say.
Coming back to the quote, there is no other way to see the Unseen .
When you are able to perceive Him at the Third Eye ,
His entry in your life is followed
by the caravan of infinite Love, Mercy and Compassion for others
to the accompaniment of the streams of Divine Melodies
from the Unstruck Sound of "Om" emanating
since He created these worlds.
Rumi uses very strong words for humans "the rest all die blind and deaf"
but that is the divine truth that the human life is lived
only after one dies while staying alive
and that death of ego is followed by the discoveries of the real self.
One does not see the Unseen
till one is awakened by the call bell of " Om " !
Whenever you pray, ask for His Divine Grace and
when you do your Karma
see that each act becomes His Worship !

All the senses literally have to fall in line with the aim to realize and see Him.
~THE EARS ~
The ears should filter the unnecessary hearings and become ready to hear the Divine Melodies by listening to the Whispering of His Name and praises of the Lord.

~THE EYES~
The Eyes should become thirsty for His Glimpse.The eyes have to become the medium also to gain all the knowledge available from the Spiritual Gurus who have realized God in their lives.
~THE TONGUE~
The cravings of the tongue have to be curbed to eat the kind of food that helps concentration and distracts not the other senses.The tongue by observing Silence plays an important passive role in Seeing Him.The tongue is the eveready translator of the mind.The tongue has to call Him again and again so that it becomes a Constant Recall of The Mind.
~THE NOSE~
The breathing has to be controlled by Pranayama and life should be lived in natural environment.
~THE TOUCH~
The touch has to be restrained by leading a life of continence.
The touching of the feet of The Lord is not allowed by impure mind.
That is the easiest part in preparing for The Vision.

~THE EGO~
The ego is a Sense which it does not allow you to make sense of.
It has to be parted to understand it.

And all the preparation is of No Use if you are not able part with your Ego.
The Roots of Ego are Lives Deep &
are well guarded by the Five Senses!
Ego makes you blow your own trumpet all the time &
you get far & further away
to Listening to The Silence Within !

That is "Beheading Yourself !".
The good part of the controlling of the five senses
is that the slow beheading gradually begins simultaneously
when the mind is deprived of the control of the five senses.
As you master the five senses ,
the mind is reined in and Mind is ready to be kept at His Altar
to be filled with the Divine Knowledge
and is made ready by Divine Grace to fathom Him
and See Him with the Third Eye
while other senses become the medium
to See and Feel Him in everything and everywhere in This World!
